
The Subway Series opener between the Yankees and Mets could be affected as weather may be a factor for Tuesday’s scheduled 7:05 p.m. start time at Yankee Stadium.
There’s currently a severe thunderstorm warning in the area with potential for more thunderstorms leading up to first pitch.

Those taking in Tuesday night’s game in the Bronx should be prepared for more inclement weather, as there’s a greater than 68 percent of precipitation up until 7 p.m. If the weather doesn’t ultimately end up delaying first pitch, the game should go on as scheduled with there being a 15 percent chance or less after 8 p.m.
The Yankees announced that gates to the Stadium are still scheduled to open on time to fans at 5 p.m.
