Black writers from Buffalo will present their work at “Ink and Melanin: Celebrating Black Authors,” to be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion, 1100 Jefferson Ave.
“It’s to spread the awareness of the amount of minority talent in the city,” Talley said. “People can come learn more about the authors. We’re going to have the authors read passages and sell their books.”
Other writers include children’s book authors Curtis Paige, Kara Oliver-Perez, Isaiah Gary, Shantelle Lynette and Sonia Banks.
