Upcoming service adjustments on the Buffalo Metro Rail system will impact several stations along the line.
The adjustments aim to ensure continued safety and efficiency of the system, according to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.
Single tracking will be implemented from March 30 to March 31 between the Fountain Plaza and Canalside stations. Riders will be required to transfer at Church station.ย
There will be station closures and limited service from April 1 to April 2. Above-ground stations will be closed. However, bus shuttle service will be available at Allen station for trips between Allen and Canalside stations.
Metro Rail will go to single tracking on the outbound track between Fountain Plaza and Canalside stations from April 3 until the fall. Trains will travel in both directions. Inbound platforms will be closed at Fountain Plaza, Evans Bank/ Lafayette Square, Church, Seneca and Canalside stations. Riders will be requested to transfer at Church station.
In addition, riders with mobility devices are advised to board the last rail cart when traveling inbound from any underground station.ย
