Nobody captured the big $1.4 billion jackpot in Saturday evening’s Powerball drawing, but one of the third-prize-winning tickets was purchased in a convenience store in Cheektowaga, New York Lottery officials reported.
The ticket, worth $50,000, was sold at the Food Plus III Market in the Cleveland West Plaza, 87 Cleveland Drive at Century Road. It was one of six third-prize winners in New York State.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 47, 54, 57, 60 and 65, with a Powerball number of 19. Third-prize winners match the Powerball number plus four other numbers.
Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of 1 to 26. The other numbers are chosen from a list of 1 to 69. Drawings are held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
