Cupid’s Undie Run to raise awareness about rare genetic disorder

Those in Buffalo can strip down to their underwear next month and partake in the annual February effort to raise awareness about a rare genetic disorder.

The Cupid’s Undie Run takes place in person or virtually in several cities nationwide to support those affected by neurofibromatosis. This year, the run in Buffalo will take place virtually on Feb. 3, letting participants fundraise for NF research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation.

NF is a genetic disorder that leads to the development of strawlike tumors in the spinal cord and other nerves, leading to learning disabilities, blindness, deafness, disfigurement, other developmental delays, bone loss and cancer.

Those interested in registering for or learning more about the event can visit cupids.org. Those in Western New York are also welcome on the website to share personal experiences with neurofibromatosis.
