Daemen to name health professions college after West Herr’s Scott Bieler

Daemen University will name its College of Health Professions after Scott Bieler, a member of its board of trustees and the president and CEO of West Herr Auto Group, Daemen announced.

The school will be called the Scott Bieler College of Health Professions, said Daemen President Gary Olson. Daemen also awarded Bieler its 2023 Community Excellence Award last week.

Bieler is president of the Scott Bieler Family Foundation and one of the most generous benefactors of local health care causes, donating millions of dollars to organizations across Western New York to support projects such as the Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo and the Roswell Park Scott Bieler Amherst Center, Olson said.

Bieler served for nearly a decade as a member of the Daemen Community Advisory Board and recently joined its board of trustees. He has contributed to many Daemen initiatives involving health sciences programs and underrepresented students at the university.
