A Lockport man was sentenced Monday to two to four years in prison for fleeing police in a motor vehicle, Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman said.ย
Tommie B. Brown, 48, refused to stop after running a red light at approximately 10:30 p.m. Jan. 29, 2023.
After Lockport police attempted to pull him over, Brown proceeded to disregard multiple other traffic signals, leading them on a high-speed chase, before crashing his vehicle into a tree on Stevens Street, officials said.
The vehicle caught on fire and seriously injured a passenger.
Brown was charged with second-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.
