A man believed to be in his 50s was found dead Thursday afternoon in a Town of Niagara field.
He was discovered on the 3000 block of Rhode Island Avenue, according to Town of Niagara police, who are investigating the death.
Police were called to the scene in response to a report of the unresponsive male laying in a field.
The name of the deceased man is being withheld as his family is notified.
Police were assisted on the scene by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit and Niagara Active Hose Fire Co.
