Motorists are being advised by the State Department of Transportation that northbound Route 400 will be closed next weekend between Union Road and Seneca Street in West Seneca to accommodate bridge repairs.
From 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. next Monday, all traffic headed north on Route 400 will have to exit at Union Road and follow a detour along Union Road, Center Road and Seneca Street before returning to the expressway via the Seneca Street ramp.
Meanwhile, motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, the DOT cautioned, and two or more convictions for speeding in a work zone could result in the suspension of a driver’s license.
