Spring bulk trash pickup in the City of Buffalo will begin in the Ellicott District on the week of April 7 and continue in other districts through the week of June 23, Mayor Byron W. Brown announced.
Brown advised residents to put trash at the curb on Sunday of their collection week. Pick-ups will be made Monday through Saturday.ย Bulk trash piles must be no more than 12 feet long, 3 feet wide and 3 feet high.
Banned are electronic items, such as TV monitors and computers, construction debris and tires. Tire drop-off days at the Broadway Garage, 197 Broadway, will be held April 6, May 18, July 13 and Sept. 14, with a limit of four tires per household.
Bulk trash will be picked up in the Fillmore District on the week of April 14; Niagara District, week of April 21; Masten District, week of April 28; Lovejoy District, week of May 5; South District, week of May 19; Delaware District, week of June 2; North District, week of June 9; and University District, week of June 23.
Brown noted that Council districts have changed as of Jan. 1 and some addresses may be in new districts, which will affect pickup. For more information, visit buffalony.gov.
