Three public meetings have been scheduled for this month to discuss a study of the proposed Riverline, a 1.5-mile nature trail and greenway near downtown.
The study, a prerequisite for construction, will look at the social, economic, and environmental impacts the project will have on the community.
The Riverline, a project of the Western New York Land Conservancy, would transform the elevated former DL&W rail corridor along the Buffalo River. Members of the Riverline communitiesย โ Perry, Valley and the Old First Wardย โ are especially encouraged to attend.
The meetings are scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Old First Ward Community Center, 62 Republic St; 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room at Commodore Perry Homes, 279 Perry St.; and 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 14 from in the Valley Community Center, 93 Leddy St.
