Study will focus on needs of veterans who live on the East Side

A local not-for-profit group is conducting a study into the needs of military veterans and their families on Buffalo’s East Side.

The study will be conducted through the month of September by 211wny.org, in conjunction with the offices of Mayor Byron Brown and Erie County Legislator April Baskins, majority leader of the Legislature.

“The goal of the East Buffalo study is to collect neighborhood specific feedback on the assets, gaps and needs of veterans living in that part of the city,” said Bob James, one of the coordinators of the study.

The organization said it will be conducting one-on-one interviews and focus group discussions with veterans who live on the East Side.
