Taylor Swift should have no trouble finding Orchard Park. She’s already been to WNY – three times

That’s the question on the minds of Taylor Swift fans hoping their hero is going to make an appearance at Highmark Stadium Sunday when the Buffalo Bills take on the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

But while Swifties and the rest of the world await the equivalent of a white puff of smoke from Vatican City – in this case, maybe a tweet from Nashville? – this is a reminder that she has made her way here at least three times before.

It was a little less snowy all three times.

Some fans may remember her June 21, 2011, show at KeyBank Center as part of “Speak Now World Tour” when she was the headlining act before a sold-out crowd of more than 14,000.

But that was not her first stop in Buffalo for a show. That was in October 2006, when she appeared at then-HSBC Arena to open for Rascal Flatts.

These days, Swift is well-known for doing very few media interviews. But in 2006, she agreed to answer a few questions from Buffalo News correspondent Seamus Gallivan.

Gallivan had a sense about what he was witnessing. This was his opening paragraph: “For all that country music has been molded and marketed for the mainstream masses, the amount directed mainly toward the teenage set pales in comparison to other genres – especially in the face of the current emo overload. With that void in mind, Taylor Swift appears poised for a major breakout.”
