Motorists on Transit Road late Sunday night and early Monday morning will have to find an alternative route to get on and off the Thruway (Interstate 90).
The State Thruway Authority reports that the entrance and exit ramps at Exit 49 will be closed to all traffic from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday so that crews can make guardrail repairs.
Motorists should use the entrances and exits at Route 33 (Exit 51) to access the I-90 in either direction, the Thruway Authority suggests.
Tandem trucks on the Thruway that ordinarily reach the tandem parking lot off Transit Road are advised to use the tandem lot at Exit 48 in Batavia.
While the ramps are closed, access will still be available to the tandem and park-and-ride parking lots from Transit Road. More information is available at thruway.ny.gov.
