We Are Women Warriors will hold a forum for candidates seeking to represent Buffalo’s East Side communities on the City Council.
The forum is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in Frank E. Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave., and will be moderated by Henry Louis Taylor, a longtime University at Buffalo professor.
All candidates running in the city’s Masten, Ellicott and University Council districts have been invited to participate. They include Democrat Zeneta B. Everhart and Conservative Murray Holman in the Masten District; Democrat and Working Families candidate Leah M. Halton-Pope and Community 1 Party candidate Michael Chapman in the Ellicott District; and the two candidates in the University District, incumbent Rasheed N. C. Wyatt, a Democrat, and Kathryn E. A. Franco, who is running on the Working Families Party line.
