West Herr Automotive Group president and CEO Scott Bieler has been nominated for a national dealer award, with a chance to win $10,000 for the charity of his choice.
Bieler is among 49 nominees for the annual Time Dealer of the Year award, which honors auto dealers for their success in business, as well as their commitment to community service.
The nominees will be honored Feb. 3 at the National Automobile Dealers Association’s show in Las Vegas, Nev.
A panel of faculty members from the University of Michigan’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations will choose one finalist from each of the four dealer association regions, and one national dealer of the year.
The winner will receive $10,000 to donate to charity, and the other three finalists will receive $5,000 each for the charities of their choice. The funds are donated by Ally.
Bieler was nominated for the award by Robert Vancavage, president of the New York State Automobile Dealers Association.
West Herr is one of the largest dealer groups in the country. Bieler was also nominated for the Time award in 2003.
