POUGHKEEPSIE- Rebuilding Together Dutchess County, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeowners in need, proudly announces another year of significant achievements and expresses gratitude to the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation for its continued support. With the unwavering dedication of volunteers, the community, and the generous grants received from organizations throughout the Hudson Valley, Rebuilding Together Dutchess County continues to make a lasting impact on local households and neighborhoods.
This year, with the invaluable support of the Northeast Dutchess Fund, Rebuilding Together Dutchess County successfully collaborated with skilled roofers to repair a roof for Neil of Amenia, a homeowner in his 80’s who has lived in his house for 53 years. Neil expressed his utmost satisfaction with the work completed, stating, “I would recommend Rebuilding Together to anyone who needs help with problems with their homes and doesn’t have the means of doing so on their own.” He emphasized the relief he felt knowing that he no longer had to worry about a leaking roof. The collaboration with RTDC brought him immense gratitude and relief.
Reflecting on more than 30 years of service, Rebuilding Together Dutchess County acknowledges the crucial role played by program support from organizations like the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Rebuilding Together Dutchess County has received a generous grant of $6,000this year and has been awarded support by this foundationsince 2012. This support enables the organization to make a meaningful impact on homes in the northeastern part of Dutchess County, fostering a stronger and more resilient community.
