NEWBURGH- Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall (MSLC) is pleased to announce the completion of the newly renovated Kaplan Family Center for Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Radiology located on the hospital’s Newburgh campus. Through the generosity of a $4 million grant from the Kaplan Family, MSLC expanded its Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Radiology (CVIR) Program to include the addition of a third state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology room; the addition of a new pre/post recovery area; and a complete renovation of its two existing CVIR rooms to include the newest technology and equipment.
This donation is the largest single gift to MSLC from the William and Elaine Kaplan Family Private Foundation. “The Kaplan Family is proud to have funded this important project, which gives our community the opportunity to keep their care local by increasing access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall,” shared Ms. Joan Kaplan.

Family members and representatives from the William and Elaine Kaplan Family Private Foundation joined MSLC staff and community leaders for a celebratory ribbon cutting to unveil the new Kaplan Family Center for Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Radiology in Newburgh this week.
Since its inception in 2005, CVIR at MSLC has expanded, as the need for both elective and emergent cardiac and other interventional procedures continue to rise.
