SAUGERTIES- A local non-profit dog rescue founded by longtime standard bearers of the rescue community, Adam Saunders and Jamie Stech, unveiled the first portion of a planned expansion:Â a publicly accessible dog park curated by behavior professionals.
The park is situated on a portion of the Rescue’s property located at 3539 Route 32, Saugerties, New York. It includes a variety of terrain for running, climbing, sensory enrichment, exploring, and playing with ample shade and seating for human companions.
The park is membership based with both daily and monthly use rates available.
Designed by Stech and Saunders, it is meant to provide dogs with activities far in excess of what is typically found in municipal parks. The proximity to the rescue and presence of dog behavior professionals allows for advice and guidance while eliminating the irresponsible owners that sometimes make use of unregulated parks unpleasant for some dog owners.
Ulster County Canines (UCC) is now also offering public boarding, and professional behavior and training support.
UCC will be unveiling it’s onsite event space, segregated yard space for less social dogs and a short nature trail in the coming months.
Information about any of these services can be obtained by emailing founder Adam Saunders at [email protected].
Donations to UCC’s continued Rescue efforts can be made via Paypal through a link at their website; ulstercountycanines.com
