POUGHKEEPSIE- State Senator Rob Rolison (R, Poughkeepsie) and the Dutchess County Office for the Aging are partnering for the return of the Senior Golden Gathering. The Saturday, September 23 event is for Dutchess residents ages 65 and older, and marks the first time in three years that an in-person version of the free event will be offered.
There will be a continental breakfast, community vendor tables, casework assistance, and free voluntary services such as flu shots and safe prescription drug disposal.
“I decided in part to bring back the Golden Gathering because I’m a senior now myself,” said Rolison. “It can be challenge to navigate new paperwork or governmental red tape once you turn 65, so our helpful vendors and staff will be available to answer any questions you might have.”
The Golden Gathering will be held at Arlington High School located at 1157 State Route 55 in Lagrangeville from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and no RSVP is required.
