GOSHEN – A felony complaint in a contract killing has been filed in connection with a murder at 33 Brookline Avenue in the Town of Wallkill on October 30, 2022.
The complaint charges Enoch Lowe, 25, of Wallkill with hiring Damante Stansberry to kill Lowe’s neighbor, Jeffrey Harris, 53, to death in exchange for Lowe paying him $15,000 and give him marijuana.
Lowe was arrested by Town of Wallkill Detective Dane Wakefield.
It is alleged that at about 4:15 p.m. on October 30, Stansberry stabbed Harris several times while Harris was outside his home. According to the charges, Lowe acted as a lookout and texted Stansberry when Harris was outside his house and alone and vulnerable to an attack.
The complaint also alleges that Lowe provided Stansberry with dark colored clothing, blue latex gloves and a knife for him to use during the murder of Harris.
In March of this year, Stansberry pled guilty to stabbing Harris to death. He awaits sentencing with the District Attorney’s Office seeking 20 years to life in prison.
Lowe is in the Orange County Jail without bail.
