Schroeppel, N.Y. — A 22-year-old man died Friday after he lost control of his motorcycle in Oswego County, deputies said.
The man killed was Austin Grigsby, 22, of Baldwinsville, according to Lt. Andy Bucher, a spokesperson for the Oswego County Sheriffโs Office.
Grigsby was riding a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle south on State Route 481 at a high rate of speed when he lost control, Bucher said. The motorcycle crashed into the guard rail as Grigsby took the off ramp at exit 14, he said.
First responders arrived at the scene of the crash around 10:32 p.m. where they attempted life saving measures, Bucher said. Grisgby was later pronounced dead on scene, he said.
