Gerrit Cole picked up his 150th career win, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton homered, and the New York Yankees (75-53) won another series with a 6-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians (73-54) on Thursday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
Cole, who tossed six shutout innings, allowed Cleveland’s only hit of the game, which came on Steven Kwan’s leadoff single in the first.
Aaron Judge blasted his Major League-leading 48th home run of the season and Giancarlo Stanton crushed a three-run homer, his 21st of the season. Austin Wells and Ben Rice added sacrifice flies.
Tim Hill (1.1 IP), Luke Weaver (0.2 IP), and Michael Tonkin (1.0 IP) recorded scoreless appearances to help New York secure their 10th shutout win of the season.

The Yankees will continue their homestand on Friday when they open a three-game series with the Colorado Rockies at 7:05 p.m. Carlos Rodón is slated to start for New York.
