CRONOMER VALLEY – Christine Furey is used to seeing a momma bear and her three cubs frolicking and climbing trees in the backyard of her Cronomer Valley home.
But what really gave her the willies was the latest visitor to her residence – a rather large snake perched above her front door.
“I would rather deal with my four bears,” she told Mid-Hudson News. “I good reminder to look up!”
Mrs. Furey called the Town of Newburgh Animal Control officer, who safely removed the snake and returned it to the woods.
“We all hope he stays there,” she said.
