WESTCHESTER COUNTY – A significant mudslide caused by Saturday’s rain has buried a portion of the Metro-North Hudson Line train tracks. A homeowner’s backyard on Country Club Lane in the Archville section of Mount Pleasant is now on the tracks. As a result, Metro-North has suspended train service between the Croton-Harmon and Tarrytown stations. The commuter rail service is encouraging riders to use the fully operational Harlime Line.
There is no train service at the Philipse Manor, Scarborough, and Ossining stations.
Hudson Line service is reduced to hourly in both directions between Grand Central and Tarrytown, and between Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie.
On Saturday afternoon Metro-North issued a statement saying “Very limited bus service is being provided between Tarrytown and Croton-Harmon.”
No additional information was provided by Metro-North.
