GOSHEN- On Saturday, for the first time ever, Legoland in Goshen lit its Lego-built Christmas tree. The lighting of the tree, which stands 35 feet tall and is built of 364,481 Lego and Duplo bricks, kicks off the theme park’s second annual Holiday Bricktacular, which runs through the end of the year.
“Holiday Bricktacular is our invitation to families to take time to play and make memories together,” said Legoland New York Resort Divisional Director Stephanie Johnson. “That’s what the holiday season is all about, and there’s no better place to celebrate than here at Legoland New York Resort, under our amazing 35-foot Lego tree.”
This year’s Holiday Bricktacular, presented by Hallmark Channel, also features brand-new shows such as Festival of Flurries and the Bricktacular DJ Bash, along with never-before-seen characters Snowman, Reindeer Girl and Gingerbread Man. Live carolers serenade guests as they meet and greet Lego Santa (and send him a letter at the North Pole Postal Service), toast their own S’mores, and help build a unique holiday mosaic featuring more than 66,000 Lego bricks.
Also, during the month of November, Legoland is saying “thank you” to military members and first responders by offering them free admission, along with 50 percent off for their families.
More information about military and first responder discounts, as well as the Holiday Bricktacular event can be found on Legoland’s website.
