The Hobart Soccer team and St. John Fisher played to a scoreless draw at Growney Stadium this afternoon. Junior Thomas Chyzowych, stopped all three shots he faced as he recorded the shutout.
Christian Burkhart played all 90 minutes in goal for the Cardinals (0-1-1). He made six saves as he earned the shutout.

- Brian Sheehan had a pair of shots turned aside by the St. John Fisher goalie in the middle stages of the opening frame.
- In the 36th minute, senior Connor Koschineg had a dangerous opportunity off a corner kick, but his header attempt was stopped by Burkhart.
- Senior Frederick Madsen had the first half’s best scoring chance. In the 38th minute, he fired a shot towards goal from 25 yards out. It deflected off a Cardinal defender and into the air. Burkhart dove to his left and knocked the ball off the goalline at the last second.
- In the second half, St. John Fisher had the more dangerous scoring chances.
- Fifteen minutes into the frame, Joey Avallone had a chance stopped by Chyzowych.
- Chyzowich came up with a diving stop in the 81st minute. Off a free kick, Ryan Brown bent a shot around the Hobart Wall that was punched aside by Chyzowych.
