DUTCHESS COUNTY – Democrats for all of the county races have jumped to a large lead on the foundation of early voting numbers and a portion of absentee ballots that have been counted.
County Clerk candidate Kenya Gadsden has 60 percent of the votes over incumbent County Clerk Brad Kendall. Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Bureau Chief Anthony Parisi has started the night with 65 percent of the vote over Chief Assistant DA Matt Weishaupt. Family Court Judge candidate Jim Rogers came out with 64 percent of the early votes compared to Judge Joe Egitto’s 36 percent. Marist Professor Tommy Zurhellen, running for county executive in his first foray into politics captured 58 percent of the early votes over former State Senator Sue Serino, who had 42 percent of the early ballots and absentee ballots.
