HYDE PARK – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has arrested several fentanyl dealers in the last 24 hours. All four arrests are the result of investigations into the sale of illegal narcotics, including fentanyl, according to Dutchess County Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant Adam Harris, the coordinator of the task force.
In June 2023, the Dutchess County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant and arrested James Scott in the Golden Manor Hotel in Hyde Park. He was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Scott, 35, an inmate at the Dutchess County Jail, was charged on Tuesday with criminal sale of a controlled substance as a result of an investigation into the sale of fentanyl in the City of Poughkeepsie. Scott continues to remain in the Dutchess County Jail pending arraignment on the new felony charge.
On Wednesday morning, the task force, along with Hyde Park and Town of Poughkeepsie police, supported by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office ESU, executed a search warrant at 3687 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park that resulted in the arrest of three occupants. Louis Nameth Sr., 55, and his 22-year-old son, Louis Nameth Jr, along with 42-year-old Sabrina Samuel were all taken into custody during the raid that follows an investigation of fentanyl sales in Hyde Park. Nameth Jr. was charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance and released following arraignment in Hyde Park Justice Court.
Nameth Sr. had an active arrest warrant issued in the Town of Poughkeepsie. He was taken into custody by Town of Poughkeepsie police at the scene of the raid.
Sabrina Samuel was a fugitive wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the New Paltz Police. She was processed and turned over to the New Paltz police for processing in Ulster County.
