TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 15-year-old girl was arrested Thursday evening while at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill for allegedly stabbing a 35-year-old New Windsor man.
Wallkill Police responded to the hospital lobby around 7 p.m. for a report of an assault and discovered the victim with a stab wound to his shoulder.
An investigation with the assistance of Cornwall Town Police who were there on an unrelated matter led to the arrest of the teen who was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said she was at the hospital for treatment of an unrelated medical condition.
The teen was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Orange County Family Court.
