Rain doesn’t dampen parade spirit

WAPPINGERS FALLS – The 29th annual Dutchess County St. Patrick’s Parade marched on despite a steady rainfall that kept many attendees away from the festivities.  Those who showed up refused to let their spirits get dampened as they lined the sidewalks of Route 9D in the village, to cheer on the elected officials, community groups, fire departments, and marching bands who marched in the cold, wet weather.

With Bill Beale on the reviewing stand, Grand Marshal Andrew O’Grady marched in the front of the parade and then went back to watch the rest of the parade that had followed him.
