ALBANY – A state grant of $1.2 million has been awarded to remodel a long-vacant building in downtown Cornwall to create a hotel and full-service restaurant in the heart of the business district.
The project, to be developed by limited liability corporation 2 Girls 1 Boy Holdings LLC, is aimed at providing the region with lodging that will attract tourism from outside the Mid-Hudson Valley.
A $2 million grant has been awarded to the Art Effect of the Hudson Valley, Inc. for the final phase capital expansion project for the previously vacant trolley barn in the City of Poughkeepsie.
The facility will be used for education and a youth-focused center for residents to express their talents and learn of opportunities to further their education.
The project will transform the historic trolley barn gallery into a community arts, culture and arts workforce development campus with renovations and additional construction to include classrooms and art spaces for kids and teens to learn how to express themselves and hone their artistic talents.
