MID-HUDSON – Effective New Year’s Day, it will cost you more to ride on the Thruway. For New York E-Pass drivers, tolls will increase by five percent on the superhighway with a second five percent increase effective in January 2027.
Beginning January 1, non-New York E-ZPass and Tolls by Mail customers will pay 75 percent more than NY E-ZPass customers.
Effective in the new year, the fixed toll rate on the Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge for New York E-ZPass customers will increase by 50-centts each year through 2027. In 2027, passenger vehicles will be paying $7.75 per ride.
The plan preserves the 40 percent commuter discount plan and increases the resident discount from 17 percent to 20 percent for qualified Rockland and Westchester residents on the TZ Bridge.
