The U.S. Postal Service will conduct a facility review of its Buffalo Processing and Distribution Center this month, and it is considering public feedback during the process.
As part of its plan to invest $40 billion to modernize the nation’s aging postal processing and delivery network, the organization is assessing how this facility can best support service and operational goals and where it may need to be upgraded.
The postal service is also attempting to provide future platforms for launching new products and competitive services for mailing and shipping customers.Â
Post Office, station and branch retail services, delivery services and business mail entry are expected to remain mostly unchanged throughout the review, according to the postal service.Â
Members of the local community may submit written comments at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mpfr-buffalo-ny.
Postal service representatives will hold a public meeting to allow members of the local community to provide additional feedback if changes to the Buffalo processing facility become imminent.
They will also work closely with unions and management associations throughout the facility review and continually monitor the impact of any changes that are implemented.
