Town of Niagara police Sunday evening found a missing senior citizen they were seeking in the afternoon because she has dementia and a history of seizures.
Niagara County emergency dispatchers issued a “missing vulnerable adult” report about 2 p.m. for Emily J. Neal, 68, of Petroleum Street, who was seen before her disappearance wearing a maroon jacket with a gray jacket underneath and black leggings.
She has left her home several times in the past, and often spends time along Lockport Road, Hyde Park Boulevard and Military Road, or at businesses in that area of the town, Niagara officers said.
Neal was located about three hours later in the city of Niagara Falls.
“Thanks to numerous shares on social media a citizen observed her on Main Street,” town police said in a news release shortly after 5 p.m.
Neal was checked out by emergency medical services staff, deemed to be in good health and turned over to her family, police said.
