Marv Levy’s return to Buffalo: Where else would you rather be than a Bills game with Papa?

He was the right man with the right words, coaching in the right city at the right time.

Have a day, Rasul Douglas! The Billsโ€™ cornerback turned in perhaps the best individual performance of the season by any member of the team Sunday, making a pair of interceptions in the first half, including one he returned for a touchdown, in a 27-21 win over the New England Patriots.

That was Marv Levy in the โ€˜80s and โ€˜90s with the Buffalo Bills. Itโ€™s still Marv Levy today.

His most famous quote โ€“ โ€œWhere else would you rather be than right here, right now?โ€ โ€“ is recited to a crowd of more than 70,000 before every Bills home game. It speaks to seizing the game in front of you, living in the moment, playing for each other. Itโ€™s a message that transcends both the man and his teams.

Levy is a Hall of Fame coach, and his Jim Kelly-era Bills of the โ€˜90s played in four straight Super Bowls. The younger half of the Bills Mafia is too young by a generation or two to remember those days. But they still embrace those words, and they honor the man who first said them before every game.
