The final public meeting to discuss 1,300 responses to a survey about a planned memorial to honor victims of the Buffalo mass shooting will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Stanley Makowski Early Childhood Center, 1095 Jefferson Ave.ย
The meeting had been scheduled for Jan. 16 but was postponed due to weather.
The memorial will honor the 10 people killed and three wounded during the racist mass shooting at the Jefferson Avenue Tops Markets on May 14, 2022, as well as others affected by the massacre.
The 5/14 Memorial Commission will share the final results of the survey and provide updates regarding the design submissions.ย
The commission last year shared preliminary results from the survey on its website,ย buffalony.gov/1609/514-Memorial-Commission. Final results will be available on the website following the public meeting.
