Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia is reminding Bills fans attending Sunday’s playoff game at Highmark Stadium to stay away from the construction site for the new Bills stadium.
Fans who venture into the construction zone will be charged with criminal trespass, Garcia said in a press release Saturday. To date, a total of 10 people have been arrested on six different home dates, including one last Monday.
The sheriff noted that the group managing construction of the new stadium has agreed to post additional security around the site on game days.
Garcia added that drivers should be extra cautious since Sunday’s game is at night and advised pedestrians to wear bright clothing so they can be seen.
“We all want to see a Bills win on Sunday,” Garcia said in the press release. “Let’s keep the focus on the field and out of the parking lots.”
