Carolcade in East Aurora is scheduled for its 51st year at 7 p.m. Dec. 23 along Main Street, between Elm Street and Olean Road.
Main Street will be closed to traffic starting at 6:30 p.m., and will reopen at approximately 8:30 p.m., following the hourlong annual sing-a-long.
The Salvation Army Band will provide accompaniment while Carolcade choral director Robert Goller leads the gathering in some favorite holiday songs. Music books will be provided by the East Aurora Advertiser and distributed along the street by volunteers. The songbook also will be available online at the East Aurora Chamber of Commerce website, eanycc.com or by scanning the QR codes that will be posted along Main Street during the event.
Hot chocolate will be available at tables near Vidler’s 5&10 on Main Street. Familiar fairy tale princesses will greet visitors at the Chamber office on Main Street, and Santa and Mrs. Claus also will make an appearance during the evening.
Carolcade is sponsored by the Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce and supported by local businesses and nonprofits, the Town of Aurora and Village of East Aurora.
