Kenmore police investigating shooting that injured Buffalo resident

Village of Kenmore police are investigating a shooting Monday afternoon that injured a Buffalo resident.

Officers responded to a 1 p.m. call on Christmas Day in front of 1809 Kenmore Ave., police officials said.ย 

According to police, the unknown assailant walked up to a small group of individuals who had just exited a store and began shooting at them.ย 

A 23-year-old Buffalo resident was shot three times and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.ย 

The Buffalo Police Department and Town of Tonawanda Police Department assisted Kenmore police with the investigation.ย 

According to officials, the alleged suspect was last spotted running across Kenmore Avenue.ย
