Forget Paris
Buffalo is a better place to visit than Paris.
At least that’s the judgment of a Washington, D.C., couple who have visited both vacation destinations.

“They were really just in love,” she said. “It was really very sweet. It touched me.”
But it was more than just typical Buffalove: They told Baras they spent their 40th wedding anniversary in Buffalo, instead of Paris. While they had already been to Paris for their honeymoon, it was their first time visiting Buffalo, and they adored it.
“They said it was better than Paris!” Baras said.

The Mitchells also went on to commemorate their first bite of beef on weck by taking a photo of themselves getting their first taste.
Baras said their joy made her even more proud to call herself a Buffalonian.
“I told the couple: I think it’s a camaraderie. We are all in it together,” she said.
